About this event
This is the first group motorcycle ride: a full day loop from Düsseldorf into the Bergisches Land and back. Winding country roads, two reservoirs, and lunch at a place that has been serving motorcyclists since the 1970s.
**All types of motorcycles are welcome.** Naked bike, sport bike, tourer, sport tourer, adventure bike, supermoto, cruiser, scrambler, café racer, classic. The pace is set by the slowest machine. Nobody gets rushed, nobody gets lost.
**Meeting point**
**P+R Staufenplatz, Ludenberger Straße, 40629 Düsseldorf**
A free public park and ride lot on the eastern edge of the city, directly on the Bergische Landstraße. Please gather on the side of the lot away from the exit.
* **09:15**: Arrive. Coffee comes later on the road
* **09:30**: Welcome, short rider briefing, split into small groups
* **09:45**: Departure
Please be on time. If you are running late, post a comment and we will either wait briefly or give you a point to catch up with us.
**The route**
A loop into the Bergisches Land, almost entirely on country roads, back at the Staufenplatz in the late afternoon.
We ride out through Erkrath, the Neandertal, Mettmann and Wülfrath, then through Wuppertal down into the Wupper valley for our **coffee break at Café Hubraum in Solingen-Kohlfurth**. From there on via Remscheid-Lennep and Hückeswagen to a **photo stop at the Bevertalsperre**, followed by a **fuel stop in Wipperfürth**.
**Lunch is at Landhaus Fuchs in Kürten.** Afterwards we continue through the Dhünn valley for a **photo stop at the Große Dhünntalsperre** and another one at **Altenberg Cathedral**, then head back west via Burscheid, Leichlingen, Haan and Erkrath to Düsseldorf.

**RSVP deadline is 18:00 Wednesday, 16 September 2026**, so that I can confirm the table reservation with the correct number of people.
**How we ride**
* We ride in a **staggered formation** and in **small groups of no more than seven bikes**, each with a lead rider and a sweep rider at the back.
* We use the **corner marker system**: if the lead rider stops you at a turn, wait there where you can be seen until the sweep rider arrives, then slot in ahead of them. Nobody gets lost and nobody has to rush to keep up.
* **No pushing, no overtaking within the group, no racing.** If you want to ride faster, ride on your own and we will see you at the next stop.
**Weather**
If there is continuous rain or a storm warning, I will cancel. The decision will be made by **Friday, 18 September 2026, 20:00 at the latest** and posted here and in the comments.
**Questions**
